Hello there! Allow me to introduce myself.

I'm Shruti.

I'm an experienced copywriter with an equal passion for clear sentences and compelling stories. As a writer, I believe empathy for my audience is the starting point for great copy, and I let that inform both the voice of my writing and the shape each story takes.

I’ve worked with a range of clients over the last decade, including the B2B tech company FiveStars, where I’ve written web copy, blog posts, and record-breaking email campaigns. With CRANE MetaMarketing, I had the pleasure not only of telling our independent school clients’ stories, but dreaming up how to tell them, in collaboration with graphic designers, art directors, and project mangers. I cut my teeth in the tech industry, writing news releases and other marketing copy for semiconductor startups. I’ve also picked up a couple national awards for my fiction—with a novel on the way.

Heathwood Hall

As a freelance copywriter with CRANE MetaMarketing, I was the copywriter for the implementation phase of the project, creating copy for viewbooks, Facebook ads, and other materials, and finishing with a brand guide, and finally, this case study.

Chicago Academy for the Arts

Stepping into the project for implementation, I wrote a variety of materials for CAA, including this modular viewbook for prospective students. (Click the image to download the PDF.)

Severn School

I researched and wrote copy for a suite of marketing materials for the Maryland-based independent school. This brochure for the Lower School was given to prospective parents. (Click the image to download the PDF)

Blue School

This case study came at the end of a full program with the bold NYC-based Blue School, where I took part in every iteration of the marketing process, from on-site research to the final deliverables.
